The University of West Scotland is a British university, which strives to create positive transformative impacts economically, socially and culturally. The University prides itself on its international scope, with over 1400 international students and over 100 partnerships worldwide.
Kamuzu College of Nursing and the University of West Scotland have had a collaborative partnership since 2008. The main areas of collaboration are in BSc Communications and the construction of a skills lab. The achievements of the partnership are shown through the successes of capacity building and faculty scholarships. The University of West Scotland also played a key role in the furnishing skills lab construction of the David Livingstone Memorial Clinic in Lilongwe. The University of West Scotland is also listed as a Partner in the 2012 Scotland-Malawi Further and Higher Education Linking project.
