Education and Qualifications
Applicants must have a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery and a minimum bedside experience of three years. They must be registered with the Nurses and Midwifery Council of Malawi.
Job Purpose
To support the implementation of practical aspects of teaching
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up of the skills laboratory for teaching nursing and midwifery clinical
skills to students
- Assisting in the orientation of staff and students to activities of clinical skills laboratory
- Assist clinical skills course coordinators and facilitators in the teaching and assessment
of students
- Maintaining clinical equipment and supplies including ICT related packages which would enhance teaching across all aspects of clinical skills
- Enforce adherence to clinical policies
- Cleaning the laboratory and related facilities to ensure conducive environment for teaching and learning
- Conduct practical demonstrations
- Assist in the compilation, maintenance and distribution of records and documentation
